Hallow Night is dark, gloomy, and filled with several adventurous features to offer, be it the beautiful gaming environment or the action filled adventurous gameplay. As soon as you entered the hand-drawn world of the game, which has a pinch of horror in it, you just cannot help but be intrigued by the graphics. The dark and damp environment, gothic designs and intricate designs that are put in every corner of a location that one can be make the game environments stand out in a spooky way.
Hallow Night is a game which has its focus in the exploration and fighting. From the point of view of a player, the given game refers to the genre of action where the protagonist is a lone warrior who has to go through different hostile terrains, fight with the dangerous opponents and bosses. The beating is quite smooth, and the moves are quite responsive to give that good feeling every time one is in combat. Streets of Rage is a game unto where gettig caught means you are dead, getting a shot at your enemies and that sweet timing in order to avoid getting caught yourself are things that give the game the sense of achievement that few games would offer.
The world of Hallow Night is integrated so the player is stimulated to explore and go back to the previous areas to find hidden stuff and open new areas. It never guides you through the process and that is the reason every discovery in the game or solving the puzzle and finding the hidden mythos of the game feels so natural and satisfying. Every time you gain a new ability or level up, there are new missions to unlock, therefore giving players the experience of level progression which is rather satisfying and stimulating.
Another major aspect of Hallow Night that must be highlighted is music that creates a dark and tense atmosphere of the game. The music perfectly fits with the atmosphere of the game and helps to make the exploration and fighting more unique and atmospheric: it becomes low toned during dangerous moments and becomes uplifting while the hero is in relatively safe areas.
However, when it comes to Hallow Night, I can recommend it to all fans of games with a resolute focus on exploration and hardcore difficulty. A blend of visuals, mechanics and story makes it one of the most memorable games that will stick with every brave enough to dive into this game.
